Click and Collect at Funan Mall
Re-imagining Retail
Sited within the new Funan mixed-use development, Click & Collect is a futuristic augmented platform that bridges online and offline retail experiences. Envisioned to facilitate the physical collection of merchandise purchased online from the stores of Funan, the space includes two fitting rooms that enable shoppers to try out their selected clothing. Infused with lush greenery, the fitting rooms create a novel experience that immerses shoppers within a natural ambience.
Click & Collect allows visitors to Funan to enjoy “hands-free” shopping by having their in-store purchases delivered to Click & Collect by an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). A glass showcase features a Robotic Arm as it sorts the various merchandise to enable shoppers to retrieve their purchases at their convenience. The space interfaces directly with the carpark, accommodating drivers.
Curves and contours develop a fluid design language intended to soften the ‘industrial’ character of the programme. The design seeks to draw visitors to the space, enhancing visibility to the otherwise-obscure corner where it is placed while connecting between the concierge and the Robotic Arm showcase. Dark or black finishes were selected to emphasise the atmospheric lighting. Glass, lighting and materials are assembled to create a unique experience; a space layered with technology and innovation that express a vision of future retail.
